Funeral services for Kathy M. Bridges Chambers, of Altoona, who died on Tuesday, September 12, 2000 at her home, were held Friday, September 15, 2000, at Grandview Park Funeral Home.
Kathy was born in Ottumwa, the daughter of William Darwin and Juanita Bridges. She has lived in Altoona for the past 8 years. Before that she lived in Des Moines for 18 years and in Melcher-Dallas for 16 years.
Kathy had worked for Tone Brothers in customer service. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren, traveling, kites, collecting cookbooks and snow skiing.
She was a member of the Country Dancers Dance Club and Young Country Dancer.
Kathey is survived by her husband, Douglas Chambers of Altoona; a daughter, Katie Littrell of Colfax; a son, Chris Ulrich of Prairie City; a step-daughter, Heather Robb of Des Moines; her parents, William Darwin and Juanita Bridges of Des Moines; two brothers, Eugene Bridges of St. James, MN., and Ron Bridges of Des Moines and three grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Race for the Cure.

Funeral services for Kathy M. Bridges Chambers, of Altoona, who died on Tuesday, September 12, 2000 at her home, were held Friday, September 15, 2000, at Grandview Park Funeral Home.
Kathy was born in Ottumwa, the daughter of William Darwin and Juanita Bridges. She has lived in Altoona for the past 8 years. Before that she lived in Des Moines for 18 years and in Melcher-Dallas for 16 years.
