Robert Neumer (Navigator) was killed when B-24H-25-DT Liberator #42-51116 "Nature's Nymph" crashed at Corner Farm, Rumburgh, on the morning of 7 June 1944. The mission to Alcenon, Northern France, had been scrubbed, and they were on their way home. 8 crew were killed. Robert is not named on the memorial in Rumburgh's St Felix & St Michael's church, but he was one of the casualties of this accident. Awards: PH.
