Anchorage resident Pamela Rene Higgins died Oct. 31, 1999, at home. She was 34. A funeral was at Anchorage Funeral Home with a visitation. Chaplain Millicent Dennis officiated. Interment was at Angelus Memorial Park. Pallbearers included Amanda Siira, Cassie Sirra, Nina Siira, Meghan Higgins, Roger Thiel and Veronica Hite.

Miss Higgins was born Oct. 6, 1965, in Burlingame, Calif., where she was raised and graduated from high school. She moved from California to Anchorage in 1966. Miss Higgins was a member of the Church of Christ. Her family said: ''Pamela was very talented artistically. Her skills include working with stained glass, nail artistry, and other various arts and crafts. ''She will always be remembered by those who knew and loved her as a wonderful, sensitive and caring wife, daughter, granddaughter, sister, auntie and cousin.'' Miss Higgins was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Ruby Higgins, and paternal grandfather, Francis Gregg.

She is survived by her common-law husband, Roger Vernon Thiel of Anchorage; father, Quinton Higgins of Texas; mother, Mary McGuire of Texas; sisters, Shawn Higgins of Anchorage, Rachel and Morgan Higgins, both of Texas; brothers, Anthony, Larry, Gregg and Christopher McGuire, all of Arkansas; nephew, Brandon Combs Higgins of Anchorage; niece, Shannon Higgins of Anchorage; and paternal grandfather and maternal grandmother, Forrest Higgins and Alice Gregg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the family c/o Shawn Higgins, 9499 Brayton Drive #197, Anchorage 99507. Arrangements by Anchorage Funeral Home.
