George S. Adams, Jr., age 74 of Palmyra, died on
Friday, September 19, 2008.
Born on December 9, 1933 in Mount Holly, NJ, he had been a resident of Palmyra for many years. He had served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Additionally, he was employed by PSE&G of Moorestown, NJ for over forty years.
Survivors include one daughter, Constance Adams of Camden; one son, Earl Adams of Florida;
three grandchildren, Justin Adams, Tushante Adams and LaShanda Adams; three great-grandchildren; two nephews, Lawrence and Clinton Harris, both of Cleveland, OH; two nieces, Jacqueline A. (Harris) Pontus of Beverly and Aquanetta (Harris) Reid of Philadelphia, PA; two great-nieces, Charmaine N. James of Camden and Maisha Harris of Atlanta, GA; one great nephew, Paul Russell III of Camden; eight great great-nephews; nine great great nieces; five great great great nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
Services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, September 27, 2008 in Jacob's Chapel AME Church, 318 Elbo Lane, Mount Laurel, NJ, where friends may call from 9 AM. Burial in Sunset Memorial Park, Pennsauken. Ministry of Comfort entrusted to TUNSIL FUNERAL HOME, Palmyra.
