Michelle Danielle Washington, 34, passed away on Sept. 7, 2008, at the Ventura County Medical Center after a brief illness.
Michelle was born on April 28, 1974, in Oxnard, Calif. She attended elementary, junior high and high school in Oxnard and was a 1992 graduate of Channel Islands High School.
Michelle was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Bernice and Jim Jones; and paternal grandparents, Irene and John McClellan.
She will be forever missed by her son, Daylen, and his father, Richard McFoy; mother, Gloria Lomax (Jon); father, Edwin L. Washington (Mary); brother, Michael D. Washington; sister, Danita Trank (Phillip); and a host of other aunts, cousins, relatives and friends.
There will be a short memorial service Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, at St. Paul Baptist Church, located at 1777 Statham Blvd, Oxnard, beginning at 12 noon, followed by a 2 p.m. gravesite service at Ivy Lawn Cemetery, Ventura.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to the Daylen Washington College Fund. Make checks payable to Fidelity Investments, P.O. Box 770001, Cincinnati, OH 45277-0003. Account number 617884774 must be included in the memo section of the check or money order.
