William (Bill) Bone passed away on September 15, 2008 at his residence in Pipe Creek, TX. He was born on January 7, 1934 to Andrew and Ruby Bone of Mercedes, TX.
Mr Bone retired from the U.S.D.A. after 40 years of service.
He is survived by his wife; Clevie Virginia Bone; Daughters, Ruby Darnell Durant and husband Mark of Centre, AL; Virginia Kathleen Maples and husband Jim of McAllen, TX; Son, William Russell Bone and wife Lori of Mission, TX; sisters, Bonnie Faye Towers and Ruby Darlene Neuendorff of Pipe Creek; 9 grandchildren, Beth Smothers, Cory and Will George, Megan Blalock, Ashley and Kameron Maples, Ashley Jo and Chandler Bone, and Stephanie Veoman, and one great grand-daughter expected soon.
He was preceded in death by his brother, John Henry Bone.
Mr. Bone proudly served in the U.S. Army from April 21,1954 until April 12, 1957 as Staff Sergeant. He earned his Associate degree and was past Exalted Ruler of B.P.O.E., he enjoyed fishing and family time.
Graveside services took place on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at 3:00 PM by Reverend Rodney Averitt at the Pipe Creek Cemetery.
