He resided in Tyrone, Schuyler County, New York prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on September 16, 1941 in Binghamton, New York. He was noted as being employed as a sheet metal worker and also as Single, without dependents.

He was declared "Missing In Action" over the Negros Island during the war.

He was originally interred overseas and was later repatriated here on September 27, 1949.
