DUMAS — Bobby Dewayne Irons, age 66, of Dumas, passed away Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, at Delta Memorial Hospital in Dumas.

He was born July 8, 1942, in Forester, Ark., to the late Jerry Lewis Irons and Ethel Standafir Irons.

He was a self-employed shoe repairman and a member of the Cornerstone Pentecostal Church of God in Dumas.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, J.T. Irons and John Jr. Irons; and one sister, Cathy Irons.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann Pruitt Irons of Dumas; one son, Ricky Dewayne Irons and wife, Letha Kaye Irons of Dumas; three brothers, Harland Irons of Pine Bluff, Loyd Irons of Wilmar and James Irons of McGehee; three sisters, Lorene Chambers of Dumas, Florene Turner of Stuttgart and Maxine Long of Amity, Ark.; one granddaughter, Angela Kaye Irons of Dumas.

Graveside service is 11 a.m. Wednesday at Oakland Cemetery in Monticello.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
