Sarah Caroline Clayton, 86, resident of Stephens and Jefferson county farming communities since 1907, died at her home in the DC Station area on Comanche route 2 about 2 a.m. today.

Mrs. Clayton was born August 21, 1867, at Knoxville, Tenn.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Emily Houston, Comanche; and Mrs. Leada Murray and Mrs. Bell Barnett, both of Waurika; two sons, David and Joe, both of Comanche.

Also surviving are a brother, Alex Richardson of Bridgeport, Texas, and a sister Mrs. Julia Shown, Okemah.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Patterson Avenue Church in Comanche.

The Rev. E.J. Merram, pastor, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. M.L. Campbell of Loco.

Burial will be in the Sudgen Cemetery in Jefferson county. Boydstun Funeral Home of Comanche is handling arrangements.
