Our beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend, passed away while surrounded by family on September 23, 2008 after a long and heroic battle with Cancer.
Matt was born on November 29, 1955 in Salt Lake City to Betty and Ronald Lee. Matt married his sweetheart, Glenda Kenney on October 27, 1979 in Salt Lake City and they were later blessed with the birth of their son, Michael. Matt was a family man and his face would light up every time he saw his beautiful granddaughter, Kayhlen. Matt lived a full and active life. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, bicycling, reading, all sports and working with computers. He was a valued employee of the Granite School District, where he worked as a Network Engineer. On May 10, 2008, Matt and Glenda proved their faith and testimonies as they entered the Jordan River Temple and were sealed to each other and to their son, Mike for Time and All Eternity.
Survived by his wife, Glenda; son, Michael (Jodi); granddaughter, Kayhlen; mother, Betty; father, Ron; brother, Robert; and sister, Linda. His family will miss him terribly but hold true to their faith that this is but a temporary separationUntil We Meet Again, We love you, Matt!
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 26, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Crescent Park 1st Ward Chapel at 11350 South 1000 East in Sandy. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services at the Ward Chapel.
Interment will be at Mountain View Memorial Estates Cemetery at 3115 East Bengal Boulevard (7800 South) in Cottonwood Heights.
