Herman W. Bakeberg, 85, Wyoming, died in his sleep at his home Wednesday, September 18. Funeral services were held on September 21, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wyoming, with the Reverend A.A. Schulz officiating. Mrs. Robeert Lindgren sang "The Old Rugged Cross: and "The Lord Is My Shepherd: accompanied by organist Mrs. Arnold Schulz. Burial was in the church cemetery. Grandsons served as the pallbearers. Herman William Bakeberg was born July 4, 1883 in Fort Ridgely, Minnesota, the son of William and Elizabeth Bakeberg. He married Emma Schefus on June 2, 1908 in the German Lutheran Church, Fort Ridgely. They moved to a farm in Brook Park in 1912 and in 1929 they moved to Wyoming where he farmed until his retirement. He is survived by a daughter; four sons; a brother; and eight great-grandchildren. One daughter died in infancy and his wife preceded him in death in 1953.
