Son of Johann Peter Eisenhauer &
Elizabeth [Graff] Eisenhauer

Married Mary Myers
April 19, 1773
Rowan Co., North Carolina

He abandonded his wife, Mary Myers
for a long period of time but returned
for a short while and tried to claim
the land which he and Mary had received
from Mary's father (Michael Myers/Moyer)
as Mary's dower.
In order to keep the land, Mary sought
a divorce through the State Legislature
and it was granted.
John "disappeared" and it is not known
where he died.
Mary had a tree planted in the space
beside her grave in the Isenhour Cemetery
so that John could never be buried there
should he return after her death.

NOTE:
John "Nicholas" disappeared in 1802...
Thought to have been killed by indians.
