Jimbo was the son of James Henry and Beatrice Bell (Bale) Haberzettle. He was a longtime resident of Wichita Falls where he was a plumber and a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors at time of death included his mother, Bea Adams of Graham; one son, Stanley Pierce of Cassville, MO; one sister, Karen Stewart of Graham; two step-daughters, Angie Cornett of Bryan and Janet Lee of Llano; two step-sons, Matthew Cornett of Sanger and Matt Matthews of Bowie.

He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, and a step-daughter.
