John Henry Yarger, a pioneer merchant of Massena who has conducted a general store ever since the town was started, died about seven o'clock Sunday morning at his home there, after an illness of many months with a complication of troubles. He was seventy four years and ten months of age, lacking two days, at the time of his death. He leaves a wife and a number of children. The funeral service was to be held, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at the M.E. Church there and interment was made in the Massena Cemetery.
