Edwin O. Burns, 51, of Sligo RD 1, a World War II veteran died Friday in his home. He was born Feb. 8, 1922, in Sligo, a son of Earl and Lucille Davis Burns. He was married Jan. 23, 1943 to the former Beula Kerr, who survives. Surviving along with his wife, are a son, Ray L. Burns, a daughter, Mrs. Kent (Becky) Ortz, his mother, Mrs. Lucille Kirkwood, a brother, Raymond Burns, a sister, Mrs. Wilbur (Betty) Wenner and 8 grandchildren. His father and grandson are deceased. Interment in Clarion Cemetery.
