Rick was born in Glendale, Ohio on September 17th, 1953, son of Anna Bradford Rose and the late James Rose. Rick worked with the Bridge Crew Department at Norfolk Southern Railroad, and he attended the Blue John Baptist Church when he was able. He was a kind person who is greatly missed by all who knew him.
Rick was survived by his mother, Anna Bradford Rose; one son, Caleb Rose; one daughter, Richelle (and John) Sharp; two grandchildren, Jeremiah Sharp and Anabella Sharp; one brother, James "Kenny" (and Brenda Kay) Rose; four sisters, Pam Rose, Patty Rose, Brenda Coleman, and Carol Forsythe; and a host of other family, friends, and his Norfolk-Southern Railroad brothers that he worked with for some 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Rose.
Visitations were held after 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27th, 2007 at the Pulaski Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28th, 2007 in the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Walden officiating.
Burial followed in the Blue John Cemetery (also known as the Bethel Cemetery) in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
