Stella Faye Craig, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, peacefully passed away at home with her family on August 22, 2003. She is rejoining: her late husband, Elmer Craig; parents: B.J. and Sarah Reid; and Siblings: Helen, Velma, and Sam. Her life touched many, but as her eldest grandchild, I get to share my memories. I spent much of my time with her as a young child. She would let me play dress-up with her make-up, heels, and sometimes even the real pearls. She always knew how to cut my toast just right and pizza always tasted better the second day at her house. With her I developed my love of people watching, she especially loved children. A love of talking was always something we shared. However, as she progressed thru the final stages of Alzheimer's, talking as we used to became increasingly difficult. Although we no longer could reminisce about the past or discuss future hopes and dreams, we could live in the moment. She was a truly special person. The greatest gift she gave to me was one she wasn't even aware of. She showed me that at the core of every human being lies truth, beauty, curiosity, innocence and goodness. Despite whatever else about her changed, those qualities never diminished. She is survived by: twin sister: Ella White; brother: Stubby Reid; children: Jan Moen, Terry Hartzell, and Mike Craig; grandchildren: Kara, Paul, Barrett, Hailey, Rachel, and great grandson Jakob. Services will be Tuesday, August 26, 2003 at the 1st Presby Church of MWC at 10:30am. Graveside internment following at Arlington Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the mobile meals program and youth ministries @ 1st Presby Church of MWC, 900 N Key Blvd, MWC, 73110. Bill Eisenhour Southeast 5005 S.E. 29 672-1321
