Frank Roe Bowders, Waynesboro Route 3, died early Monday morning at his home, following a long illness, at the age of 62.
Mr. Bowders was born near State Line, a son of the late Lewis and Ida Belle (Baker) Bowders, and lived his entire life in the State Line area. He was a member of the Four Square Church, Greencastle.
Surviving are his wife, the former Mattie Brown; three sons, Frank, Waynesboro; Erdman, Chambersburg; and Paul, who is serving with the U. S. Naval Air Corps in Korea; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Lester Sprankle, Waynesboro; seven grandchildren; and seven brothers, John, Harry, and Roy, all of Waynesboro Route 3; Daniel and Guy, both of State Line; William, Waynesboro; and George, Baltimore.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Four Square Church, Greencastle, with his pastor, the Rev. Elsie Shryock, and the Rev. Harold Myers, pastor of the Four Square Gospel Church, Gettysburg, officiating. Interment will be in Beautiful View Cemetery, State Line.
Friends may call at the Minnich Funeral Home, Greencastle Wednesday evening between 7 and 9 o'clock, or at the church Thursday, an hour before the funeral.
