Malcolm served as a Technical Sergeant, U.S. Army Air Force.

He resided in New Castle County, Delaware prior to enlisting.

He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on October 17, 1945 at Chanute Field, Illinois. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being Married.

Malcolm died in the crash of a C-45 training plane that took off from Mitchel Field, New York and was scheduled to land at Bolling Field Air Force Base, Washington, D.C.

The C-45 crashed, for an unknown reason, near Frederick, Maryland.
