Claude Beebe, son of Ida Woolman and Richard Beebe, was born here July 4, 1880. November 23, 1904, he was united in marriage to Miss Bessie Rowe, daughter of Mary Dawley and Tart Rowe. They went to Morrisville, but after a year moved to Cleveland, and have always lived in this vicinity, except for one and a half years at Camden. Two years ago last March they purchased the place on Lake street between that of Frank Barry and Dennis Webb, and it was there the funeral was held Thursday, conducted by Rev. R. E. Wright, and burial made in Lakeside Rural Cemetery. Mr. Beebe had been gradually failing for about three years, but was confined to the house for only two or three weeks. He was always a quite, industrious "home" man, ready to do a neighborly kindness, and will be greatly missed in the community, as well as in the family circle. The large number attending the funeral and the profusion of beautiful floral tributes testify that he had a large circle of friends who greatly regret his removal in the prime of life.

Besides his widow he is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Ida Mae Lindsley of Oneida, Inez, Jessie, Edna, Dorothy and Edith at home, and one son, Elden at home; one brother, Ernest Beebe of Stockbridge, and two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Bristol of Pratts Hollow and Mrs. Daisy Bonneau of Cleveland.
