Father of Shirley B. Clark, and Howard "Bob" Clark.

He served our country during World War II as a sonar operator on the U.S.S. William T. Powell (DDE213), United States Navy, having been on convoy duty in the North Atlantic & Mediterranean.

He then worked in various positions for both the City of Wilm. & New Castle County. He was a surveyor for the county and was secretary to Wilmington Mayors Wilson & Hearn, private secretary and bookkeeper to Director of Public Safety Andrew Cavanaugh, and worked as a radio dispatcher for the Wilmington Police Dept.

After his retirement from the city in 1961, he worked as a time keeper for Greggo & Ferrara, Inc., retiring in 1977.

Mr. Clark was a Master Mason and a 58 year member of Granite Corinthian Lodge #34 AF&AM, a member of the Notre Dame Club at Mulrooney's, a past master of ceremonies for the St. Mary's Minstrel Company and a past member of the F. O. E. #74 and the VFW.
