Bernie Lee Brown, 78, passed from this life on Friday,December 19, 2014 at the Covington County Nursing Center in Collins,Mississippi.
Visitation will be held 1:00-4:00pm, Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Baldwin-Lee Funeral home in Pearl. Funeral services are 2:00pm, Monday, December 22, 2014at Faithway Baptist Church in Bassfield, Mississippi with interment to following the church cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to services at the church.
She was born Wednesday, February 19, 1936 in Lamar County, Mississippi, a daughter of the late Otis McRaney and Bessie Broom McRaney. Mrs. Brown was a charter member of Faithway Baptist Church. She retired from Mississippi Valley Foods and then served as a devoted caregiver for many elderly relatives and friends. Her hobbies included gardening and raising flowers. She also had a truelove for music.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Brown, and son, Timothy Brown.
Survivors include sons, Carl Brown, Charlie Brown and wife Janie and Johnny Brown and wife Becky; sisters, Sue Buchanan and Voncille Riley;
grandchildren, Chris Brown, Patti Wise, Sarah Evans, Niki Brown an Kelsey Brown;and several great-grandchildren.
