THOMAS EARL BROOM
84, Bassfield
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015 in the Faithway Baptist Church for Mr. Thomas Earl Broom 84, of Bassfield, who died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014 in Jackson. Interment was in the Faithway Baptist Church. Elder Everette Broom Elder Doug Barber and Elder Brent Robbins officiated at the services. Visitation was held from noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 3 at Faithway Baptist Church.
A native of Marion County, he was a farmer, a member of Faithway Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burton and Amie Laird Broom five sisters; three brothers and his wife, Alma Faye Broom
Survivors include his brother, Osborne Alonzo “Pig” Broom of Bassfield and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Colonial Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
