FRANK LOUIS AUGUSTINE Beloved husband of the late Ruby Rosaline Augustine. Passed away Friday, March 5, 2004 after a short illness. Survived by daughter Linda Lee Augustine, grandsons, Mickey Louis Berman and Patrick Craig Anderson of Castro Valley, half-sister Brenda Augustine of Castro Valley, closest friends, Cliff and Wanda (late) Lawton of Nevada, and four adoptive daughters, Patty Anderson of Castro Valley, Jackee Martin-Hickerson of Lodi, Maureen Nieves of Dublin and Jane Whitney of Castro Valley. A native of Oakland, he was born April 27, 1928. After being stationed in the Navy in San Diego for six years, he married Ruby in 1950. He loved water sports and spending days on the beach with the family. He will be deeply missed by relatives and close friends. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 12, at 12:00 noon at United Lutheran Church of Oakland, 8800 Fontaine St. in Oakland, followed by burial next to his wife at Mountain View Cemetery, 5000 Piedmont Ave. in Oakland. A reception will be held at Frank Augustine's house on 3978 Sequoyah Rd. in Oakland. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the San Francisco Speech and Hearing Center.
