Mary E. Burke, the tenth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Burke, was born in Quebec, Canada, July the 24, 1839, and passed to her reward on Dec. 26, 1915 at the ripe age of 76 years, 5 months and 2 days.
She was united in marriage to Mr. J. M. Dodd of Batavia, Illinois, July 24, 1859. To this union were born seven children, one breathed its last in infancy, and one was wafted to the home beyond at the eleventh year; there still remains three daughters and two sons. Mrs. Jennie E.
