Beatrice Purvis Huff, 90, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2008, at her home.

Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. today at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon and
starting at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2008, until the 11 a.m. funeral
service in the chapel. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery in Rankin County.

Mrs. Huff was preceded in death by parents, Stanley and Ina Purvis; husband,
Ercy Eugene Huff; grandson, Steve Cobb; sister, Marie Allen; and a brother,
Nelson Purvis.
She is survived by daughters, Thelma (Charles) Damico, Dot Cobb and Sylvia
(Bill) Hemphill all of Brandon; a grandson, Doug Damico of Memphis, TN; sisters,
Edith (Ron) Palmer and Madie Everett of Pelahatchie; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
Mrs. Huff was born March 4, 1918, in Rankin County and lived most of her life in
the Antioch Community and Pelahatchie before moving to Brandon in 2005. Her life
was a testimony to her deep faith and Christian beliefs. She was a member of
Antioch Baptist Church and previously a member of Pelahatchie Baptist Church.
She is remembered for her independent spirit, her love of sharing her beautiful
flowers and being able to grow anything.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to her many friends of the Lakebend
community and the homebound ministries of Antioch and Pelahatchie Baptist
Churches for their love and support.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Antioch Cemetery Fund, 2350 Hwy
43 South, Brandon, MS 39042.
