Miss Marie Stephenson, 67, 241 McDowell street, Columbus, died Tuesday at 7:03 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Medical Center, Columbus, after a period of failing health.

She was born Oct. 24, 1907, in Belle Center, a daughter of James A. and Mary A. McElree. Formerly of Bellefontaine, she lived in Columbus for 15 years.

Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Vivian Kerns, Kenton; Mrs. Pauline Borden, Peoria; and Mrs. Ruth Curran, Kirkwood, Mo.; two brothers, Lester Stephenson, West Frankfort, Ill.; and Earl Stephenson, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews. One sister and three brothers are deceased.

She was a practical nurse and a member of the United Methodist church, Belle Center. She attended Ohio Northern University, Ada, and was a member of the Progressive club, Belle Center.

Services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at the Hilty funeral home, Belle Center, by Rev. Emery Moyer. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery, Belle Center.

Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
