Charles Perry Walker, 97, of Monticello died Jul 22, 1991 at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held July 26 at First Christian Church, Monticello with burial in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.

Mr. Walker was born December 14, 1893 in Wayne County, s/o John and Eliza Ewing Walker. He married Glenna Marie Harris July 4, 1916 at Fairfield. She died October 6, 1982. Surviving are three sons: Verne R. of Orlando FL; Noel L. of Dewey AZ; and Leland of Champaign; two daughters: Marilyn Olivier of Decatur; and Myrtle Pierson of Monticello; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.

Mr. Walker was a member of the First Christian Church in Monticello; a retired farmer, having farmed in Wayne and Piatt Counties. He was retired as a maintenance employee at Glenbrook Laboratories in Monticello. Memorials may be made to the church or Lincoln Christian College, Lincoln.
