Harriet Geneva Oxner, a resident of Tenaha, had been visiting a son in Nacogdoches. She died 8 miles "south of Nacogdoches Sunday while en route to Lufkin to make a visit with a daughter, Mrs. J. B. Thrash of Lufkin. Mrs. Oxner, who was with a son in an automobile, died suddenly, falling over in a dying condition without any warning." She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors included 5 children.
