CRAWFORDSVILLE -- Penny K. Cole, 46, of 106 Louise Ave., Crawfordsville, died at 11:08 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, at Wishard Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born in Lebanon on Jan 15, 1962. She worked at the Crawfordsville IGA in the meat department and had also worked as a waitress and cook at the R & S Cafe in Linden for 13 years. She was a member of Freedom Baptist Church in Waveland. Surviving are four daughters, Latisha Cheesman, Amanda Cheesman and Jessica Cheesman, all of Lafayette, and Desiree Davis of Mellott; seven sisters, Goldie Ford of Bringhurst, Margaret Ray of Crawfordsville, Marcia Cole of Attica, Clara McKee of Lafayette, Brenda Hicks of Panama City, Fla., Debbie Hibbart of Stockwell and Carnall Cole of Lebanon; and two brothers, Malcolm Dick of Linden and Kevin Cole of Lafayette. Visitation 4-8 p.m. today with services 11 a.m. Thursday at Russell & Hitch Funeral Home, Thorntown, Pastor Chester Tague Jr. officiating. Interment at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Thorntown. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Darlene Stone; and a brother, Jessie Cole. Memorial contributions may be made to Freedom Baptist Church, 6223 W.
