SPRINGFIELD - Stanley David Murray III, 25, of Springfield died at 9:21 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, at Memorial Medical Center.

He was born April 10, 1983, in Phoenix, the son of Stanley David and Elizabeth Jennings Murray Jr.

Mr. Murray, a resident of Springfield most of his life, worked for W.V. Construction. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. He was a graduate of Southeast High School. He was a very good artist and poet and loved the Chicago Cubs. He liked to travel. Stanley was known for his outgoing personality and his ability to make others laugh.

Surviving are his mother, Elizabeth Valentine (companion, Morris Cooper Jr.) of Springfield; father, Stanley David Murray Jr. of New Orleans; a daughter, Destiny Brotherton of Chatham; two sisters, Kelly Murray and Kathryn Valentine, both of Springfield; grandparents, Marilyn Lamboi Brunk of Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, and Stan Murray of Mansfield, Mass; several aunts and uncles; and several cousins.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, at Staab Funeral Home. Funeral time is pending. Burial will be in David Brunk Cemetery.
