A 5'10" shoemaker from Pleasant Hill, DE, Wiser was arrested at Fairfax Court House in November 1863. He was acquitted by Court Martial for Sleeping on Post May-June 1864.
He was mustered out with the regiment on June 3, 1865.
He passed away at the National Soldier's Home in Hampton, Virginia.
His burial is quite close to the south fence near the south end of the cemetery's 3rd Avenue.
