Mrs. Lillie Banning

HENDERSONVILLE - Services for Mrs. Lillie Belle Cox Banning, 89, who died Tuesday in a Brevard hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Boyleston Baptist Church of which she was a member.
The Revs. Clay Frazier and Joe Medford will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Grandsons will be pallbearers.
She was a lifelong resident of Henderson County and the widow of David Casper Banning who died in 1954.
Surviving are two sons, Jones Banning of Hendersonville and the Rev. Ralph Banning of Mooresboro; six daughters, Exa G. Banning (Walter) Perkins of Brevard, Edith Eugene Banning(Dave) Holliday of Route 1 Pisgah Forest, Mary Sue Banning( Foy) Holden and Alma Claudia ( Arthur Frisco) Sentelle, both of Hickory, Mrs. Howard Hayes of Owensboro, Ky. and Mrs. Annie Lou Jackson of Los Angeles, Calif.; 29 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
The body will remain at Thomas Shepherd and Son Funeral Home until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the services.
At other times the family will be at the home of Mrs. Walter Perkins, 111 Azalea Ave. in Brevard.
