Mr. Barksdale, 11, died April 14, 2001, in Brandon.
He was born in McComb on March 9, 1990, to Vance Barksdale and Teresa Herring Barksdale.
He was a student at West Lincoln School. He was a member of Easthaven Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death was his great-grandfather, James Freeman.
Other than his parents, survivors area brother, Joshua Barksdale; his grandparents, Larry Barksdale, Ann Barksdale, and Yvonne Herring, all of Brookhaven, and Vernon Herring of Texas; his great-grandmother, Claudia Freeman of Brookhaven.
