Fenton Reuben McCreery b. 1866 d. 1940 — also known as Fenton R. McCreery — of Michigan. Born in Flint, Genesee County, Mich., April 21, 1866. Son of William B. McCreery. U.S. Minister to Santo Domingo, 1907-09; Honduras, 1909-11; U.S. Consul General in Santo Domingo, 1907-09. Died in Flint, Genesee County, Mich., October 6, 1940. Grand Son of Reuban McCREERY and Son of William Barker McCreery, b. July 27, 1836 MI d. 1896 . Flint Mayor and State Treasurer director of the Citizens National Bank, and afterwards vice-president and cashier, was born in Mt. Morris, New York.
His mother was Miss Ada Fenton, a daughter of Flint Mayor Col. William M. Fenton, whom Fenton MI was named after. His sister Addy REMICK is Buried Elmwood Cemetery in Detroit.
