∼As Captain, Assistant Regimental Quartermaster for 2nd Vermont Infantry till discharged 7/8/1864. At behest Vermont state Governor, became Quartermaster General for the state of Vermont. In this role served 6 years, decommissioning and selling for Vermont surplus Civil war equipment.
