Mrs. Wade Callender Dies In Auto Accident In Texas
Mrs. Wade Callender of San Antonio, the former Miss Lora Ratcliff of Brookhaven, was one of two women and a child killed in a traffic accident in San Antonio Wednesday. Details of the accident were not immediately available. A member of the Ratcliff Family here said Mrs. Callender's husband had just returned from his job to the couple's home in San Antonio Wednesday afternoon when he answered the phone to be told by a hospital attendant there that his wife had been in an accident.
A native Lincoln Countian Mrs. Callender attended the Loyd Star School. She had been a resident of San Antonio 15 years of more.
Mrs. Callender is survived by her husband; two sons Rusty and Curtis, a daughter, Miss Janice Callender all of San Antonio; three brothers, Walter Ratcliff, Brandon, Russell Ratcliff, Florida, Lamar Ratcliff, Brookhaven; three sisters, Mrs. Dewitt Callender, Mrs. Charles Callender, both of Brookhaven, and Mrs. Eugene Allen, Wesson.
Funeral Services were incomplete Thursday morning. Hartman's Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
