s/o Frank Eugene Jones and Lewrany Addeline Smith. He married Ellene Sewell, daughter of Andrew C. and Flora Etta (Davis) Sewell, between 1910 and 1915, and was living in Altoona in 1915 and 1920. Turner had a brother, Charles Martin Jones (1883-1957).

Turner's mother, Lewrany, died on February 14, 1891. His father, Frank, married Laura Mary Armstrong on May 21, 1893 in Franklin County. A half-brother, Frank M. Jones, was born on May 28, 1894.

Although Turner was still married at the time of his death, it seems strange that his wife was not mentioned in his obituary. They did not have children.

OBITUARY-TURNER JONES
Turner D. Jones, whose operation for stomach trouble was noted in last week's Gazette, and who was reported to be doing nicely, took a sudden turn for the worse Thursday Apri1 28th, and died that evening in the hospital at Chanute where operation was performed. Death resulted from paralysis of the stomach. Funeral services were held in Altoona where he has lived for the past eight years on Sunday, and the body brought here for burial, being laid to rest in the Waverly cemetery Tuesday afternoon. May 3, services being conducted by Rev. Curtis, pastor of the Presbyterian, church at Altoona, who also conducted the services at Altoona. The body was accompanied here by about fifteen friends from Altoona, and the funeral at that place is said to have been one of the largest ever held in that city. Turner Jones was a Waverly boy, and one who was well on the road to make a splendid success of his life, and who had many friends in each of the several places where he has, made his home. He was born in Ottawa April 30, 1889, lacking but two days of being thirty-three years of age [born 1888?]. Following the death of his mother he made his home with his aunt, Mrs. Cas. McDuffie of this place and received most of his education in the Waverly schools. He left about twelve years ago, going first to Ottawa and within a couple of years to Altoona, where he has since resided. His father is in Elgin, Illinois, and there is one brother, Chas. M., who lives at Selma, Colorado, who was here for the funeral.

Charles Martin Jones died in Butte County, California on Dec 10, 1957. Frank M. Jones died on Dec 26, 1962 near Portland, Oregon.
