"OCEAN CITY -- Jacquelyn Walton Bowman, 74, of Ocean City died Thursday, May 29, 2003, at her home. Born in Waynesburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Jack Walton and Olive Scanlon Walton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Edward Bowman, in 1972. Mrs. Bowman is survived by her children, Dr. Ralph E. Bowman Jr. of Milford, Pa., Wayne M. Bowman of Phoenixville, Pa., Daniel W. Bowman of Owings, Md., John A. Bowman of Leesburg, Va., Mary Healy of Gaithersburg, Md., Kathryn Hill of Winchester, Va., Susanne Currry of Ocean City and Liz Ilalov of Silver Spring, Md.; one brother, Jack Walton of Riverside, Calif.; 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bowman had a lifetime career in nursing, last working at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington. A memorial service will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Coastal Hospice, PO Box 1733, Salisbury, Md. 21802."
