She was a graduate of Stoughton Hospital School and Dane County Teacher's Training Course, and taught in rural Dane County and Rock County schools.
She married C. Harold Spersrud on June 25, 1931, and he preceded her in death on April 24, 1991. She was a charter member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Evansville, where she was active as a Sunday School teacher for 30 years, and a member of the Altar Guild and Ladies Aid.
Mildred is survived by three sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, and many loving nieces and nephews who kept in touch with Aunt Mildred.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold; five brothers, Elmer, Milo, Willard, Lyle and Carl Anderson; and two sisters, Hattie and Ella Anderson.
Funeral services held at St. John's Lutheran Church, Evansville with Reverend Paul Forde officiating. Burial followed at Cooksville Cemetery. Ward Funeral Home, Evansville assisted the family. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church in memory of Mildred.
