After that she worked al the Black Cat Cafe and the Night and Day Cafe in Central City, Nebraska and the Dixie Cream Donut Shop in Grand Island, Nebraska. She lived In the Central City, Nebraska area all of her life.
She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, the Flock Together Club, and enjoyed gardening. Sylvan Mae (Snodgrass) French, age 92, passed away on Tuesday; February 13, 1990 at the Bethesda Care Center in Central City, Nebraska. Those left to mourn her passing are: Her one daughter: Mrs. Del (Verna) Ball of Jefferson; Greene County, Iowa. Her one son: Dale of Tekamah; Burt County, Nebraska and her one sister: Vanda Zehr of Central City, Nebraska. Her four grandchildren, her two great grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren. Sylvan was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers, and two sisters. May they rest in peace. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday; February 17, 1990 at the chapel of Solt Funeral Home In Central City, Nebraska. The Reverend Clarence McConkey will officiate.
Interment will be in Pierce Chapel (Bureau) Cemetery in Fullerton, Nebraska near Clarks; Merrick County, Nebraska.
