Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Burns, wife of C.W. Burns, of 2314 Beale Avenue, died at her home yesterday morning of tuberculosis after an illness of two years. Death occurred at 5:40 o'clock. She was the daughter of Jesse, deceased, and Mrs. Catherine Powell, and was born in Perry county, on March 14, 1866, and came to this city at the age of 4 years with her parents. She was married in this city July 23, 1884, and is survived by her husband, mother and these children, Mrs. Bertha Ritchey, Mrs. Julia Ann Ritchey, Jesse C., Thomas M., Mary M., C.W. jr., Sarah E., Sheldon F. and Edna C., all of this city and these brothers and sisters: Conrad, Harry, James and Harvey Powell, Mrs. Hessie Farbaugh and Mrs. Emma McGregor, all of this city. She was a member of the Simpson Methodist Episcopal church and the Ladies' auxiliary to the church. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at Simpson church at 2:30 o'clock, the cortege leaving the house at 2 p.m. Interment in Fairview cemetery.
