CLINTON R. BEAM
Clinton Roy Beam, 78, of 562 Bond, died at his home at 11:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Born July 19, 1883, in Porter county, he was the son of Silas and Ellen (Skinner) Beam. He married Sylvia Wheeler in January, 1911. She died in 1919. To this union were born two daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Eva) Gast of Valparaiso and Mrs. Morris (Emma) Holmbrandt of Mill Creek. Two grandsons also survive.

He married Beulah L. Hawkins on Oct. 16, 1946. She survives with three step-sons, William, Roland and Harold Hawkins of Valparaiso, a step-daughter, Mrs. Roy (Evaline) Shinabarger; 14 step-grandchildren; a step-great grandson; and a brother, Joseph, of Florida.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

A life-long Porter county resident, he was a retired steelworker and a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal church.

Services will be held at 10 a. m. Monday in St. Andrew's church. The Rev. Forrest Clark will officiate, and burial will be in Kimball cemetery. Friends may call at Bartholomew Funeral home after 2 p.m. Saturday.
