Jesse was a CSV Veteran having enlisted in 1861 in Company G, Fifteenth Regiment, Arkansas Infantry. He served until the final surrender, and was an active participant in the battles of Shiloh, Murfreesboro, Liberty Gap, Richmond, Ky., Perryville and Chickamauga.

Jesse T. Redwine Dead.
After several years of suffering, as a result of a cancer of the face, Jesse t. Redwine died at his home in Maynard, Arkansas, last Thursday, and the funeral was held on Friday, the interment being made at Maynard. Mr. Redwine was 75 years old and was well-known among the older citizens of the county, he having formerly been engaged in business here.
He was the father of R. L. Redwine, now living at Poplar Bluff and Dr. J. T. Redwine, of Kennett, both former citizens of Doniphan, also two daughters Mrs. Phipps and Mrs. Weaver, and leaves besides a widow.
