Thomas Johnson, a highly esteemed resident of Van Vert county, died last night at his home In Liberty township after a long period of ill health. Mr. Johnson was aged 75 years and his direct survivors are nine children, Adam, Ray, Rush, Doyt and Miss Lola Johnson and Mrs. L. S. Smith, of Liberty township, Floyd Johnson, of Dayton, Mrs. W. B. Place,. of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Mrs. F. D. Stemen, of South Bend, Indiana, and four brothers, William Johnson, of Elm street, H. A. and Edward Johnson, of Ridge township and Amos Johnson of near Lima. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon, at 2:00 o'clock, at North Liberty Church, conducted by Rev. Ringenberg. Interment will be made at Woodland cemetery.
