Harold Luallen served in the US Army as a Corporal and Combat Infantryman during the Pacific Theatre. Combat engagements were in the Philippine Islands. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 1 Silver Battle Star, the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Ribbon with 2 Bronze Stars, the American Service Medal and the WW II Victory Medal.

Harold continued his military service as a Reservist. Records show he was an inactive Reservist on 17 Oct 1951.

He enlisted with his brother, Herbert Woodrow Luallen and they served together.

Harold married Mildred Blanche Dickerson. They did not have any children.
