Brother of Ruth Dorsey of Adelphi, MD, Beverly Hawkins, Denise and Phyllis Davis, Sheila Kee, Henry Taylor, Jr., Stephen and Jerry Taylor and Lennell Dorsey, all of Wilmington. Also survived by four aunts, six uncles, ten nieces, seven nepews, other relatives and friends. VELMORE DAVIS
Velmore Davis, 29, of Mallory Road, Hampton, VA., formerly of 2523 N. Madison St., died Friday of heart failure in Hampton General Hospital.
Mr. Davis was in a training program at Hampton Institute that was sponsored by the Veterans Administration.
He was an orderly at Riverside Hospital for two years.
He was 1975 graduate of Howard High School.
He is survived by a daughter, Vanetta Kelker of El Paso, Texas; his parents, Joan and Henry Taylor of Wilmington; four brothers, Henry Taylor Jr., Stephen Taylor, Jerry Taylor and Lennell Dorsey, all of Wilmington; and five sisters, Ruth Dorsey of Adelphi, Md., and Beverly Hawkins, Denise Davis, Phyllis Davis and Sheila Kee, all of Wilmington.
Services will be 1 p.m. today in Greater Bethel Apostolic Temple, 29th and Van Buren streets, where friends may call from 11 a.m. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, 33rd and Market streets.
