Brent Ellis, 15, of Crowley, Texas, died Sunday in Houston, Texas.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday at High Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Savage officiating.
Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Putnam. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service of McAlester.
Born May 2, 1979 at Blythville Air Force Base, Ark., he was the son of Ron and Sue Gragg Ellis. They moved to McAlester in 1981 and he attended Frink School thru the second grade.
They moved to Crowley, Texas in 1986.
He was a ninth grade student at Crowley, Texas High School, a tuba player in the high school band and a member of the Rhetta Baptist Church in Burleson, Texas.
Survivors include his father and step-mother, Ron and Debbie Ellis of the home; his mother and step father, Sue and Lonnie Reed of Kansas; a brother, Mike Ellis of the home; three step-brothers, Kelley and Casey Gresham, both of Crowley, Texas, and Kyle bishop of Krebs; two step-sisters, Lacey and Ashley gresham, both of Crowley, Texas; a half-brother, Ian grimes of Kansas; paternal grandparents, Ervin and Mary Ellis of McAlester.
Also, maternal grandparents, Jerry and Sue Gragg of Haileyville; maternal step-grandfather, David Reynolds of McAlester; paternal great grandmother, Ardella Davis of Thomas; maternal great-grandfather Cleatis Gragg of Haileyville and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ray Brewer, brandon boatright, Alan Ellis, Bronson Ellis, Mike Ellis and Eldon Ellis.
Honorary pallbearers will be his high school classmates.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, frances Reynolds; his great-grandparents, Jewell and Delia Ellis, and Attoway Davis and Martha Gregg.
