"Viola Mae Buckellew died Friday, August 28, 1987, in Danville. She was born August 30, 1922 in Bismarck, Illinois, the daughter of John and Alta Brown Frahm. She married Ernest Buckellew September 17, 1943, in Danville, and he survives in Catlin. She was a member of Catlin Church of Christ.

Surviving, besides her husband, are two sons, John, Danville with whom she made her home, and Marvin, Georgetown, Illinois; grandchildren, Brent, Tony, Jason, Georgie Rae Buckellew, James Jr. and Jennifer Moody; two brothers, George, Tilton, and Herman, Dallas, and one sister, Grace Watts, Covington. She was preceded in death by a son, George, a daughter, Tanya Sue, a grandson, Donny R., her parents, two brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday at Pape Memorial Home with Tony Thomas officiating. Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery." – Star Tribune, August 28, 1987
