Died, at 5:15 p.m., Thursday, July 23, 1908, at the family residence, 134 West Grand avenue, north, Mrs. Louisa I. Thompson, aged 84 years, 8 months and 28 days. Decedent was born in Mansfield, Conn., October 26, 1823. On May 19, 1850, she was united in marriage with Samuel D. Thompson. The couple came to Illinois to reside in 1856, and in 1889 settled in Springfield. Her husband died six years ago.
Mrs. Thompson was a member of Douglas Avenue M. E. church. Surviving are the following children: Edgar, Fearing S, William and George Thompson, all of this city. Two daughters died in infancy. One brother, Clark C. Abbey of Center Point, Ia., and five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
